After we at CLINQ decided on a product pivot towards the softphone market, we wanted to see if our core idea (moving the client-side SIP stack to the server-side cloud infrastructure) could be used to build the new strategy. I developed the plan for the proof of concept with my team. To do this, I used the approach of a "walking skeleton" (vertical prototype).

When we wanted to start a new mobile team at CLINQ, there weren't enough mobile developers at the beginning, and the previous classically published vacancies didn't bring much traffic. So I started on my own to plan a booth at droidcon Berlin (Europe's biggest Android conference).

Reverse recruiting is a big topic in developer circles today. Not surprisingly, it's really convenient when companies have to introduce themselves to you for a change and show you what they have to offer. There are already a handful of online platforms, but in real life there is actually only one address where it really makes sense: Pitch Club Developer Edition. I've already been here five times with a booth and twice of them even as a speaker ;)

It’s never been easier to display your public Recruitee jobs on your WordPress site. With a simple shortcode [recruitee-jobs company="yourcompany"] that you can use in the editor, in widgets or even in your template files, you can embed your job offers anywhere.

The previous website of the regio-energiegemeinschaft e.V. was based on an older version of the REDAXO CMS. The cumbersome operation and the outdated layout finally moved the association to commission a relaunch. The project was commissioned to me by the advertising agency Pixelwald and took almost three quarters of a year due to the data import and numerous individualizations. What lasts long, finally becomes good :)

Susanne's assignment was to optimize her WooCommerce store mamas-sachen.de and to get rid of various bugs. First of all, it was important for her to optimize the performance of the WordPress store. With a loading time of about 2.8 seconds, this was understandable. Through my partners from the advertising agency Pixelwald, I came to the order and now look after mamas-sachen.de with my professional expertise around WordPress with WooCommerce.

The dog groomer Saskia Pfeiffer wanted a simple website for the start of her self-employment. The focus should be on simplicity and usability. In addition to some structured information, a simple form should offer customers a quick and easy way to contact her.

Of course, my own website is also always a project. Unfortunately I have not captured all iterations of the past decades, but here is a white version that I loved very much :)

During the Corona / COVID-19 contact closure, local stores were closed for several weeks and later opened with and with great constraints. The idea came to a work colleague: a directory of local retailers and service providers who have changed their distribution channel due to the situation to shipping or takeaway. Each city should be able to support their beloved retailers and service providers. After the project was completed, however, the measures were relaxed again, which also made the project less attractive. What I will do with it in the future remains to be seen.

A proper voting tool was needed for the annual Retro LAN. More and more employees and accompanying persons led to more organizational effort. At a well-attended LAN with more >50 gamers, the simple question "What are we playing next?" sometimes led to a lengthy discussion. Food orders with different requirements and tastes? difficult... This should change in the future! So this little side project of mine was born.

Firebase React Admin Biolerplate is a project template (also known as boilerplate) for building modern, scalable web applications with React using Google Firebase serverless infrastructure. It allows you to save time and build on a solid foundation and design patterns.

As a software developer and web enthusiast I have one or the other domain in my possession. But it always bothered me that "this one great domain" is already taken. So I hooked up to a bunch of APIs and built an interface that not only lets me manage my domains, but also lets me monitor domains that are already taken.

it-autec GmbH needed a web software to display machine information at their customers. All data of the producing machines were stored on a central MySQL database. From this the information should be visually prepared. Considering the rules of data visualization and UX I wrote a single page application based on VueJS. The backend ran on a customized Lume version of Laravel.

The design agency VISUELL asked me to do a relaunch on WordPress basis for the health region Aachen. The design concept was delivered by the agency. In addition to the implementation of the relaunch, an employee training in the form of a workshop for the employees of the health region should take place.

On behalf of the agency Pixelwald, an individual delivery cost calculator was to be implemented as a WordPress plugin for gabco Kompostierung GmbH. The calculator should be easy to administer and expandable. In the implementation, the choice of weapons was left to me. So I decided to use VueJS in the frontend and ACF as backend builder.

By order of Waketo GmbH an individual booking system for the indoor sports company Indoorgames.de should be developed. For this purpose, the well-known WordPress plugin Booked should serve as a basis. The desired functionality for Indoorgames.de had to be based on an own fork of Booked. The overall goal was to make it easier for customers to book multiple dates and to support the management and administration of bookings.

On behalf of the agency Pixelwald, a redesign was to be carried out for the portal Fernarbeit.net. The biggest hurdle was the plugins Digimember and WP Job Manager, which worked with very rigid template overrides. So only overrides from the theme root were possible. Since I usually use the starter theme Sage from roots.io, which provides a MVC folder structure, the override behavior had to be adjusted via hooks. By switching to a proper and modern theme, the loading time of the pages could be increased significantly.

During my time as technical project manager at the Aachen-based agency neusite, one of my main clients was AOK Hessen. As part of a major relaunch of the magazine site aok-erleben.de, I wrote the complete technical concept of the server structure, the construction of a multisite and the use of a pattern library in a special campaign construction kit. At that time, the blog system WordPress served as the basis, as this was the agency's standard solution for everything. Today, I would push much harder for a different solution ;)

The goal was a new modern appearance of the star restaurant Sankt-Benedikt from Kornelimünster / Aachen. In addition to the requirement to implement a reduced design, an easily manageable reservation form with opening and vacation times was to be programmed. The traditional restaurant already had an established logo, but it was only available as a pixel graphic in low resolution. Therefore, the logo was to be ported into a vector graphic.

The Steinbeis Transfer Center "Usability and Innovative Interactive Systems for Information Logistics" approached me with the request for a relaunch. The corperate design of the Steinbeis Group was to be adopted, as well as easy maintenance of the content by the editors.

For the tennis club Blau-Weiß Jülich e.V. I designed and implemented a website relaunch. The goal was the simple maintenance of all content and images by the club. A modern and simple structure of the site, should simplify the information search for young and old alike.

For the portal GeilWohnen I developed an individual connection to the Facebook Groups API. Advertisements should be advertised optionally by the providers also in the Facebook group of the respective city.

Within the lecture "User centered project management" at the University of Applied Sciences Aachen, we were confronted with the problems of a classic handicraft company. The guiding idea was: "How can internal processes be optimized through digitalization and automation?

For the painting company DADSON we have developed an online price calculator and integrated it into the website.

As part of a semester project, a style guide was created for the fictitious beverage manufacturer "GORILLA".

The marketing concept for the "Family Fire Department" project of Caritas Aachen was developed as part of a semester project.

Web presence of the translator and interpreter Brigitte Cloot. Developed on the basis of Joomla! CMS, an individual template was created including the inquiry form component.

A gamification project of the RWTH Aachen (Institute for Catholic Theology). This text-based online adventure is intended to offer future students a new learning platform on which lecture content and exercises can be taken up and deepened.

For the master craftsman company Kropidlowski GbR - DADSON a contemporary website was implemented by us.
